We do not use synthetic stabilizers or waxes. We do not formulate our light and fluffy body butters with loads of beeswax.

As a result, our delicate natural products packaged in glass jars and metal tins are sensitive to temperature changes.

During very warm weather, products may soften or even melt in transit.

WHAT TO DO IF IT'S MELTED?

When receiving butter based products, it is best to refrigerate for about 15 minutes prior to opening to prevent spillage. (We actually keeps our Triple Butter Body Butters in the fridge all the time during warm days because we like the cooling effect!)

The quality and healing properties of our products are not affected when melted, but the whipped consistency will slightly change.

Whipping butters adds tiny air bubbles that increase the size, lightens the density and changes the texture, making the butter light and fluffy. If a whipped product melts, the air bubbles are collapsed, so the volume is decreased. So although the tin jar was filled to the top, if the butter melts, there will be less volume in the container.

We have had customers rewhip our Triple Butter Body Butters with an electric whisk beater. The butter has to be very cold for this to work. Scoop out in a glass bowl deep enough to whisk and go to work for about 10 minutes!
